Synopsis
In the dystopia of a dying mountain lake, the last specimen of a whitefish searches for a mate. Like countless generations before it, instinct unconditionally dictates this goal and at the same time makes the animal realise its agonising loneliness. What sense of life remains when even the mere realisation that one has existed as a species will disappear into the darkness of time?
A film as a cautious approach to the question of what it feels like to be the last of a kind.
